Fix the saturation and discolor images in WordPress

Fix the saturation and discolor images in WordPressHow many times has this problem occurred? You have a great image, whether you've found it or created it, you upload that image into your WordPress image collection and then you find that the image has lost its saturation and color.

Image saturation, discoloration is definitely what you have to deal with when working with WordPress images. You want the image color to excel, just like you want the overall color of the website to excel and be perfect.

The question is what is the difference, how do you fix image saturation, discoloration at WordPress?

Why do some images lose saturation and color in WordPress?

The answer to this question is quite simple. Most, not all, professional photographers take photos using the Adobe sRGB color space model. This model is more colorful, providing sharper, clearer results with the final image.

However, WordPress uses the RGB color model. When you upload images to your WordPress library, several image sizes are created. These images use the RGB color model, which is less colorful than the Adobe sRGB color model format.

When photos are taken with the Adobe sRGB model, they will also be cleaner with clear colors displayed. When the same image is uploaded to WordPress, the color loses some light, and it does not show up clearly.

However, there are several ways you can adjust WordPress images. See how to fix image saturation errors, colors at WordPress.

To correct color and image saturation in WordPress, you use several different techniques. Besides using the WordPress plugin, the fastest, easiest way to fix image saturation and color is to do it before you upload images to WordPress.

To do this, you will need something like Adobe Photoshop. Even if you don't have Photoshop, I have linked you to a free alternative called GIMP, below. I'll glance at GIMP for a moment.

Fix image saturation and color in WordPress with Photoshop

Launch Adobe Photoshop and open the image you want to edit. When the image is in the Photoshop program, select File> Save with Web, the menu is at the top of the screen.

Note: Small changes have been made to Adobe Photoshop over the past few years. This includes the “Save for Web” function. Save for Web, built on the previous ImageReady product, is now discontinued.

That being said, Save Web is not deleted, but it has been moved slightly in the menu, this term Legacy Di has been added. To access, select File> Export> Save for Web (Legacy).

You can also bypass the menu entirely by using the existing Photoshop keyboard shortcut: ctrl + alt + shift + s (for Windows) or cmd + opt + shift + s (for Mac).

You can also customize the shortcut by selecting Shortcut key from the edit menu.

Clicking the Save for Web tab (Legacy) will show you the setting box popup by the “Save for Web” function. This section will help you convert the image in RGB and then save it.

The box will also give you the option to embed a color profile with the image. However, doing this will not make much difference on how different browsers will read WordPress images you own.
